Circus Noël (de serie)

Circus Noël (the series)

Synopsis

The Brazilian rebellious child Victor (12) is living in the Netherlands without a valid residence permit, together with his hard-working mom. He misses his home town and his deceased father, and feels very unmotivated in school. His life completely changes when a circus pitches its tent in his home town in the build-up to the great Christmas Show on Christmas Eve. Victor befriends Tonie (12), who is the circus director’s son, and together with his classmate Karo (12), a privileged girl who is interviewing the circus acts for a school project, he discovers his talent: walking a tightrope. Tonie, who is the expected to succeed his father as a tightrope walker, shares a secret with his new friends: he is afraid of heights. When through a simple twist of fate the circus’ main act ends up in the hospital, the children will have to give it their all to save the Christmas Show, each learning in their own way the true meaning of friendship, family and the Christmas spirit.
